The Youth Well-Being Team at Family Support Services (FSS) developed comprehensive brochure to help teens in foster care and young adults in extended foster care deal with COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our young adults and teens have been inundated with information regarding COVID,” said Youth Well-Being Program Supervisor,Elizabeth Findley. But not all the information was current or reliable. “We wanted to ensure that they had a resource guide that was accurate and could serve as a handbook to support them.”

The team worked with the Community Development department to create a comprehensive one-of-a-kind guide for teens that could be distributed electronically, Findley explained. The guide provides information on self-care, mental health services, and financial assistance.
